Own ERP · configured per company
Custom ERP software in Romania, configured around how your company works
In shortWeDevelop is a Romanian software company that develops its own ERP for Romanian companies and configures it per client: invoicing with e-Factura, stock, purchasing, sales, production, accounting and HR. It fits companies that have outgrown an invoicing program plus spreadsheets and want one system, priced by the configuration they request, without a large international ERP project.

01Is this for you
Signs a configured ERP is the right next step
Most companies do not go looking for an ERP. They go looking for the reason the numbers disagree. Two or more of these usually mean it is time.
- The invoicing program, the stock list and the spreadsheets give three different answers to the same question.
- Someone retypes orders from the webshop, delivery notes for the courier or payments from the bank statement.
- e-Factura, SAF-T and e-Transport are handled through exports and manual uploads instead of from the operation itself.
- Your approval rules, documents or reports do not fit a fixed template, and staff keep working around the software.
- You want to begin with invoicing and stock, then switch on purchasing, production or HR when they become the problem.
02What you decide
Six decisions that shape your configuration
The product page lists what each module does. These are the choices that turn the list into your company's system.
What runs on day one
Most companies start with what hurts: invoicing and stock. The remaining modules can follow, so the first release stays small enough to finish.
Who implements it
Buy the system and run the rollout with your own team, or hand us discovery, configuration, migration, training and go-live.
Where it runs
In our EU cloud with daily backups and monitoring, or on your own servers. Hosting can be switched later, so this does not have to be final.
What moves across
Customers, suppliers, products, stock, open invoices and balances are the usual set. Older documents can stay available for reference rather than being rebuilt.
What gets built for you
Custom fields, print layouts, approval rules, specific reports and automations, for the cases where configuration alone is not enough.
What connects to it
Your webshop, marketplaces, couriers, bank, POS and payment providers. Each link you need is named in the scope, so nothing is assumed.
03Which option
Configured ERP, large ERP suite or a system built from scratch
These are the real alternatives. We sell the first and can build the third, so here is how we would separate them.
| Option | Fits when | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Our ERP, configured | You are a Romanian company, want Romanian fiscal rules built in and prefer one supplier for the product, the integrations and the hosting. | You rely on one smaller supplier rather than a broad market of consultants, and the product code stays ours. |
| Large international ERP suite | You operate in several countries, a parent company dictates the platform, or you want many competing implementation partners. | Usually a longer project, with licences, partner fees and localisation to budget for separately. |
| ERP built from scratch | The way you operate is itself your advantage and no product comes close to it. The code is then yours. | You also pay for the generic parts, such as VAT journals and payroll, and for keeping them legal every year. |
| Invoicing program plus Excel | A few people, simple stock and one person who keeps the whole picture in their head. | Cheap until a second warehouse, a webshop or a new hire arrives. The cost is hidden in retyping and errors. |
Our ERP is not the right choice if you need statutory accounting in many countries from one system, or if group policy already names a platform. It is built around Romanian accounting and fiscal rules, and we would rather say so now than discover it during discovery.
04Cost
What decides the price of your ERP
There is no licence list, because the offer is calculated from the configuration you request. These are the inputs that move it.
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Modules | Invoicing and stock are a very different scope from a setup with accounting, production and payroll. |
| Number of users | Typical configurations range from a handful of users in a small company to unlimited users in a multi-site one. |
| Customisations | Special documents, approval chains and reports are built and tested work, and they are maintained afterwards. |
| Integrations | A webshop syncing orders, stock and prices both ways takes more work than a one-way bank statement import. |
| Hosting | Our EU cloud, a dedicated environment or your own servers each carry different running responsibilities. |
| Migration and training | The state of your current data and the number of departments to train decide this part, which is quoted as a fixed price after discovery. |
Select the modules in the form on the ERP page and you receive a written offer within two working days. It gives you a real figure to compare, before you have spent anything on discovery.
05How to start
From a module list to a dated plan
Choose the modules
Tick what you think you need in the form on the ERP page. A rough selection is fine, since it will be challenged later.
Written offer
An implementation engineer reads the request and sends an offer based on that configuration.
Discovery
We meet your team, map how orders, purchases and stock actually move, and separate what must work on day one from what can wait.
Scope and fixed price
Modules, customisations, integrations, migration plan and timeline in writing, with a fixed price for the implementation.
06For an accurate offer
What to tell us in your request
Nobody expects a specification. These facts change the offer the most, and most of them are known to whoever runs your office.
- The programs you use today, for example Saga, WinMentor, SmartBill or Excel, and which one your accountant relies on.
- How many people will log in, and in which departments.
- The number of warehouses and sites, and whether you track lots, expiry dates or serial numbers.
- Whether you sell online, which couriers and bank you use, and whether you manufacture anything.
- Any date that matters, such as the start of a financial year or a contract you are leaving.
07Questions
What Romanian companies ask before choosing this ERP
How much does an ERP cost for a small company in Romania?
The price is set by the configuration you request: modules, users, customisations, integrations and hosting, with implementation quoted separately. A small setup with invoicing and stock sits far from a multi-site one with production, so pick your modules in the form and you get figures in writing within two working days.
How long does it take to implement the ERP?
Plan on four to six weeks for a small company running invoicing, stock and sales. Adding accounting, production, integrations and data migration usually makes it two to four months, and discovery turns that range into a plan with dates before you commit.
Can we buy only the ERP and implement it with our own team?
Yes, the system can be bought on its own if you have people who can run the rollout. Data migration and training are where ERP rollouts tend to slip, so weigh that honestly, but the choice is yours and it is reflected in the offer.
Do we have to give up our accounting program?
Not on day one, because accounting is a separate module and small configurations often start without it. If your accountant stays on their own program, tell us which one, and the exchange of data between the two is scoped as an integration.
What happens when e-Factura or SAF-T rules change?
Legislative changes reach you as updates under the maintenance agreement rather than as new projects to pay for. That covers e-Factura, SAF-T, e-Transport, VAT and payroll changes, and larger additions such as a new integration or module are quoted separately.
Is this a resold ERP or your own product?
It is our own product, developed and maintained by WeDevelop, and it deliberately has no brand name: we describe it by what it does. No outside vendor stands between your request and the people changing the code. The trade-off is that you use the product under an agreement rather than owning its source code.
Can we get our data out if we leave?
Yes in practical terms, since reports export to Excel and BI tools and the system has a REST API. Ask for the exit procedure to be written into your offer, including the format and timing of a full data handover, so that it is agreed while everyone is still on good terms.
