Medisens — medical products webshop with external system integrations
Magento 2 store for a distributor of medical products to hospitals and patients — wound care, incontinence, operating-theatre equipment, oxygen therapy, sutures, stoma care — connected to the company’s external business systems so stock, prices and orders stay in sync.
The challenge
A medical distributor cannot maintain a webshop by hand: thousands of SKUs change price and availability daily, hospital customers order on account with their own price lists, and every order has to land in the systems the back office already runs. The store had to be a window onto those systems rather than a second copy of the data.
What we built
A Magento 2 store on the Porto theme with a category structure that follows clinical use (wound treatment, incontinence, equipment by department, consumables), customer groups for institutional buyers, and integrations we built between Magento and the company’s external systems: product and stock synchronisation, price list updates, and order export into the back office. Spam protection, tag management and Cloudflare sit in front.
The outcome
A webshop that reflects real stock and prices without manual updates, and orders that reach the fulfilment team in the system they already use.
